GEOUP: Kappazeta Aktiv’s special Push Pier Range
GEOUP®
Push piers are suitable for the stabilization and the lifting of existing structure foundations and flooring even in difficult crumbly soil or low-lift soil with reduced power and solid horizon placed at reachable depths, in terms of structural contrast.
They are modular high-strength steel piles 76 mm across and about 3 mm thick for standard duty and 6 mm thick for heavy duty.
Individual pieces are connected together with male-female coupling.
INSTALLATION
It is carried out by hydraulic motors placed on special brackets, anchored with fasteners to the foundation beforehand.
During the fixing phase every single push pier is assigned a wider foundation section than during the exercise phase, so that structural loads are used as contrast for the pile penetration into the soil, until the planned depth or capacity is reached.
After the piling phase and after producing the desired primary settlement, the actual operating load- bearing capacity is assigned to each pier and the intended lifting is obtained.
CONNECTION TO THE STRUCTURE
The pier/foundation connection is obtained with steel plates, available in several versions for any need (corner/ front/pull ones etc.).
The plates are connected to the foundation with fixing elements of suitable technology, depending on the characteristics of the support.
The coupling plate/pier is secured with high-strength steel bolts.
CERTIFICATION OF THE PIER LOAD-BEARING CAPACITY
During piling, before the final connection to the structure is made, it is possible to test every single pier with temporary increase of load, even multiples of the actual operative load.
ALL THE ADVANTAGES OVER TRADITIONAL PILING TECHNIQUES
- Zero-impact yard (we work with manual equipment even inside)
- Fast installation
- Preload for the elimination of primary failure
- Resolution of subsidence and considerable lifting effect.
