GEOROUND

GEOROUND®: BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE IN THE FIELD OFBUILDING RENEWAL AND AND IN NEW CONSTRUCTIONS
GEOROUND® active piles are suitable for the stabilization of existing structures and flooring but also in new constructions and they can also be used as anchors.
The performance of these special piles is not influenced by groundwater, difficult crumbly soil and seasonal withdrawal/swelling cycles.

FEATURES
Our piles are modular high-strength steel ones, which are screwed into the ground with a spinning motion.
The lead or first section is provided with one or more helix blade(s); for special applications, extensions can also be fitted.
The pile is 76 mm across while the helix blades may vary from 254 to 305 mm across.
The single elements are connected together by bolting.

INSTALLATION
It is carried out with the rotation imparted by a hydraulic motor installed on suitable compact operative equipment, which monitors the applied torque continuously.
Piling is carried on until the planned depth and/or the torque value corresponding to the required extent under the bond capacity/torque is achieved.
If applied to existing buildings, Georound can be used in contrast to the foundation to cause primary settlement and then be assigned the actual operative load bearing capacity, also obtaining the desired lifting.

CONNECTION TO THE FOUNDATIONS
In the field of building renewal, it is obtained with dedicated high-strength steel plates fixed to the foundation by means of special fasteners.
The plate/pile link is created by means of high-strength steel bolts.
In new constructions, it is possible to integrate the heads of the piles with special pieces for joint casting concrete.
When used as anchors, the ends are fitted with special pieces of threaded connection in contrast to any kind of slabs or framing.

It is possible to pre-establish the pile load-bearing capacity as a function of measured piling torque.
Every single pile can be put through a load test in very simplified ways both for interventions on existing buildings and for installation on new constructions.
